Peninsula de Setubal Serra Mae 2020

Made from the Castelao grape, which is also known as Bastardo, and is not as commonly seen, particularly a wine that is 100% Castelao. A great wine with roast lamb, this has bramble and cherry notes, with a herbal note too. A medium bodied red with good acidity and juicy notes.

Fermented using wild yeast and aged in concrete vats.

Just south of Lisbon, Peninsula de Setuba is one of the oldest wine growing areas in Portugal.
